Store Background

Pacific Scale Rail has roots going back to 1974 and a tiny N scale-only nook in PSR partner George Carroll's erstwhile North Vancouver bookstore! Small as it was, "Pacific N Scale" represented the broadest selection of N scale products available in western Canada, and soon had regular customers from Alberta, Washington, and beyond, many of whom are still with us today.

In 1991, George and co-owner Steve Stark turned their enterprise into the comprehensive, all-scale, trains-only, Pacific Scale Rail in Vancouver's neighbouring city of New Westminster. Located just 30 minutes southeast of downtown Vancouver by car or Skytrain rapid transit, the new store also offered an easy-access alternative for model railroaders living in the many suburbs east of the city.

Today, Greater Vancouver's only all-model-train store offers great selection and friendly service and advice for expert and beginner alike. Run exclusively by model railroaders, for model railroaders, our staff includes experts in all the popular scales. And with 2,000 square feet of your hobby on display, chances are we have what need! If we don't, custom orders and advance orders on new products are a regular part of our service; we ship by mail or courier within Canada and by parcel post around the world.

Call us for your needs or drop by when you're in town - and tell us you saw us on the web!
